Father Giunta’s entrance to Madonna delle Lacrime
The parish of Madonna delle Lacrime in Vittoria was entrusted to the Doctrinaries Fathers by the bishop of Ragusa, Monsignor Giuseppe La Placa.
On Sunday 1st September, on the liturgical feast of Our Lady of Tears, during the solemn mass at 8pm, Father Giuseppe Giunta took up the role of parish priest, in addition to that of the Madonna Assunta parish. Father Giuseppe will be assisted by the assistant parish priest Prosper, a Burundian doctrinaire.
Father Andrea Marchini – delegate of the Superior General of the Congregation for Italy and France – reminded the many faithful and priests of the city present at the celebration that since the first years of doctrinaries presence in Vittoria the collaboration between the two neighboring parishes has been constant and fruitful.
