Father Adair Diniz, of the Doctrinaries Community of Catanduva in Brazil, died on December 7, after a brief illness due to cardiac arrest.
On the same day, the funeral vigil, in the parish of Imaculada Conceição in Elisiário, was followed by mass at 3 pm, presided over by the bishop of Catanduva, Dom José Benedito Cardoso.
In a statement, the Diocese remembered Father Adair, emphasizing how he “dedicated his life to the service of the Kingdom of God, exercising his priestly vocation with zeal and love. His departure leaves a legacy of faith and dedication to the Church, marked by the testimony of service and commitment to the Gospel.”
After the celebration, the body was transferred to the city of Araraquara, where it was buried.
The Congregation of the Doctrinaries gathered in prayer for Father Adair and his family, especially his elderly mother.
