On March 9, the Cardinal Archbishop of São Paulo, Odilo Pedro Scherer, visited the parish of São Francisco de Sales, in São Paulo, entrusted to the care of the Doctrinaries since April 21, 1961, the date of its foundation.
Cardinal Odilo presided over the Eucharist and at the Sunday Mass at 6:30 p.m. confirmed Father Sandro Luis Degaraes as parish priest and Father Devair Francisco dos Santos as parochial vicar. He also appointed Father Silvio Luis dos Santos as the new parochial vicar.
After the mass, the cardinal met with the parishioners who expressed their joy in welcoming their pastor into the parish community: a special moment of faith and prayer.
