Jareya, a training seminar for teachers and a day of sports for students

On 10 November 2024, a one-day formation seminar was organized for all the teachers of Nawa Maskal (New Light) School, Jareya and Little School, Ranchi together in the school premises of Jareya, run by Christian Doctrine Fathers, 25 km from Ranchi city, in which 35 teachers were benefited.
In the first session, Fr. Binay Guria told that according to the book ‘Frames of Mind’ written by Harvard University professor Howard Gardner, children have different kinds of talents and it is the teachers’ first responsibility to develop them so that they can fully realize their lives in the future and become successful individuals.
In the second session, Professor Ashrita Kandulna of Patna Women’s College explained the method of establishing mutual relationship and harmony between teachers and children through games and examples.
In the third session, Professor Nilima Regina Topno of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) talked about leadership skills and its proper development in teachers through a game called ‘Crossing the River’. The prizes won during the games were distributed by Dr. Sarita Lakra, Sheetal Hembrom, a computer engineer based in America, Lalita Honhaga, working as a librarian in Bethesda Women Teacher’s College in Ranchi and Avisha Topno.
As a sequel to this seminar, a one-day sports day was organized for children on 14 November 2024 in Jareya itself, in which the children of the school showed their potential talents. Organizing sports is very helpful in physical and mental development in children. Sheetal Hembrom, Ashrita Kandulna, all the staff of the school, Principal Father Lalit Barla and Father Binod Guria played an important role in making the sports event very successful.
